Two Stools

Kevin and I got married on the 4th of July, and we left for our honeymoon cruise on the 5th. Our first stop on the cruise was Montego Bay, Jamaica. We did a wonderful, guided excursion which I’ll post photos of later.

To get to our destination, we had to take a 1.5 hour bus ride. We stopped about halfway at a little store to take a break. I noticed these two stools on the side of the building and loved the bright yellow of the wall and the stool on the right.

There are a lot of bright colors in Jamaica. But when you look closely the colors are a bit older than you thought, the paint is flaking, the plaster is chipped. More contrasts to come in the rest of my photos from Jamaica!

Wire Contrast

This was taken at the same place as the post below. My love of shiny things is well-documented, and the bright silver wire caught my eye. I walked over to see it was wrapped around some wooden sticks that I think used to be a rake. And of course I like the contrast of wire on wood on leaves.
