train is here!
Saturday, August 22nd, 2009I got really lucky that a train started coming across the bridge as I was scrambling up the side. I was so excited! It’s my first photo of a train, bridge or not. I did take a couple of shots where you can tell it’s moving, but since I was so close up it didn’t look like much. I like these a lot though.

waco lake bridge
Friday, August 21st, 2009On my way home from Fort Worth, I crossed Waco Lake in Waco, Texas about 7:30. I looked to the right as I was driving south, and the bridges were beautifully backlit by the setting sun. I have no idea how to get around Waco, so I only found one spot, which was much closer than what I originally wanted. Also, I only had my 50mm lens.
However, after several minutes of driving down a dirt road, walking through bushes, over some kind of pipeline and scrambling up rocks, I realized the bridge I was near had train tracks. Photos of the train up next!
